Ari Ahearne

Expertise: General Commercial Advice and Consumer Law
Ari graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2021 with a Bachelor of Laws and Psychological Science. During her undergraduate studies, Ari launched a small business in beauty services, retail and e-commerce space.
Ari was admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania and joined ConMoto Group as a graduate lawyer in August 2022.
Ari practices within ConMoto Group’s commercial department across a diverse range of commercial and corporate matters.
Ari’s experience includes:
- Providing guidance on amendments to the Unfair Contract Term regime under the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
- Advising on multi-million-dollar contracts with large retailers.
- Advising clients on their responsibilities under Consumer Law in particular their responsibilities and obligations surrounding consumer guarantees.
- Assisting in drafting and advising clients on their obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), in particular, international data transfer and collection.
- Assisting in discovery preparation for a Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) application.
- Advising on multi-national trade transactions.
- Reviewing commercial and retail leases with large organisations and shopping centres.
- General contract and commercial advice.
